Waitz, Robert
Born in Neuvy, France, in 1900, high school graduation in 1917, M.D. degree in Paris in 1931, as of 1933 associate professor in Strasbourg, active in resistance movement during German occupation, deported to Auschwitz in 1943, prisoner-physician in Buna/Monowitz concentration camp, liberated in Buchenwald in 1945, returned to Strasbourg, president of Amicale d’Auschwitz, died in 1979.
